4. Message Templates

It’s possible to customize the content of the messages that TrustView sends out. You can use tags to insert dynamic information into these messages. See Notifications for how each notification type gets triggered in the first place.

Expiration Email Tags

#ReceiverName Will insert the name of the user or contact the email is sent to.

#ExpirationTable Lists all the expiring monitored objects with the data columns you picked. It’s made of basic HTML, so it can be styled as you want.

#ExpirationCount Will be replaced by the number of expiring monitored objects.

#UserGroupName Inserts the name of the user group.

#recentlyExpirationsTable Inserts table of recently expired objects.

#UpcomingExpirationsTable Inserts table of upcoming expiring objects.

#olderExpirationsTable Inserts table of older expiring objects than those listed in the other tables.

#notificationType Shows the type of notification mail. Displayed as either NORMAL or CRITICAL.

4.1. Expiration emails

It’s possible to modify the email subject and body of both the English and Danish version, independently of each other. Because the email body is made of basic HTML, it’s possible to style it.

Checkout Email Tags

#CheckoutID Inserts a unique ID to help keep track of which messages pair with each other.

#Subject Inserts information about who the certificate is issued to.

#Password Inserts the password for the file. Only usable in the body of the password message.

#ExtraInfo Inserts extra information provided by you at checkout time.

#UrlToWebPage Inserts the link to the self-service checkout web page, for checkouts using that delivery method.

#DeliveryMethod Inserts the delivery method chosen for the checkout.

#WebpageAccessCode Inserts the access code needed to open the self-service checkout web page.

The email and SMS content can be modified here, in English and Danish independently of each other. Both the email and SMS support the certificate checkout tags.

A separate Mail sender address field on this page lets you override the sender address just for checkout mail, instead of using the shared support mail address (see here).

4.1.3. Summary mail sent to contacts

Summary Mail Tags

#name Inserts the name of the external contact the mail is sent to.

#list Inserts the table of expiring monitored objects for that contact.

This is not the monthly status mail - it’s the daily summary mail sent to each external contact (see Notifications for how external contacts and their notification thresholds are configured), listing the monitored objects expiring within that contact’s own configured thresholds. The content, like the other notification mails, can be customized here with HTML, inline styling and adding or removing column fields.
